So, these are the lightest and darkest shades in the range. Perfect Nude, really is just that, it’s a very neutral color with no shimmer (which I really like). Ruby Slippers is an almost cherry red with some shimmer. The color can be warn alone, or over lipsticks.
The color is also very buildable. Perfect Nude is nude, and pretty opaque so you don’t really need to layer it on. Ruby Slippers is a little on the sheerer side, so if you want a more intense color you can build it up with a second application. If you look at the wand, it’s not the traditional doe foot applicator, it’s more like a ballet slipper! So, you’ll have to be careful not to have too much product on the wand when applying.
These do have a scent, it’s like vanilla but very subtle, I really like it. The texture isn’t too sticky, maybe more like slightly tacky, nothing unpleasant. They also feel pretty hydrating and last a good amount of time before fading. You will have to reapply occasionally because they are glosses.
Overall, I think the formulation on these is really good. They apply very well and feel really nice.
You can buy these on their website, or on QVC. They run about $24.
Until next time,
