This is the new Confidence in an Eye Cream! It’s formulated with Anti-Aging Armour Rejuvenating Concentrate and Ceramides to restore, Chrysin to help reduce inflammaton, Peptides and Collagen to smooth the look of lines, Avocado to nourish, Hyaluronic acid and Squalane for hydration, Licorice for brightening and Caffeine to reduce puffiness

ITCosmeticsConfidenceinaneyecream3 | by themani-ac

It also features Drops of Light Technology and an exclusive apricot tint for color correction and brightening!

I have been using it every day, in the morning after I wash my face. I do have dark circles and puffiness, so I need a product like this in my life. I just take a small amount and massage it onto my under eye area, and I instantly see a difference. Now, it does take a little while for my bags to completely de-puff, but I definitely see an instant brightening when I use this product.

It has no scent, which is great for the eye area.

I love that it has the apricot tint to help with the dark circles, and the Drop of Light doesn’t have any visible sparkle or shimmer, just a nice brightening effect.

The packaging is great, just like the Confidence in a Cream, except smaller. It has the same high-end skin care looking jar and label. And it is a glass jar so it’s nice and heavy.

I’m loving the new Confidence in a.. products from IT. The Confidence in a Compact is great, I use it everyday, and I’m so excited to add the Confidence in an Eye Cream to my everyday routine!

This product goes live on itcosmetics.com today, 3/21/2017! It will also be available at Ulta and ulta.com in April!

The entire collection, here we have: Supersize CC+ Illumination with SPF 50+, Superhero mascara, Heavenly Skin CC+ Skin-Perfecting Brush and Je Ne Sais Quoi in Rose

Supersize CC+ Illumination with SPF 50+. I’ve been using the CC+ Illumination for a while now, it’s one of my go-tos for foundation. It has lighter coverage, but you can build it up. It uses Drops of Light Technology for that radiance and glow, hence being called Illumination. It’s on the thicker side, but blends out very nicely and leaves you with a dewey almost shimery finish from the Drops of Light. You can really only see the slight shimmer up close or when it starts to fade.

The best part is… it has a pump!

ITSuperheroMascara3

The all-time favorite Superhero mascara. I’ve gifted this to 4 people, and all 4 of them have given it rave reviews. It actually is that good.

Heavenly Skin CC+ Skin-Perfecting Brush. I love all IT Cosmetics brushes! It’s not secret and it’s without fail, they make amazing brushes. This brush is smaller, it’s very fluffy and not very dense. I actually have an older version of this brush that’s bigger in circumference and denser.

I did test it out with the CC+ Illumination, what I like to do is dot the product all over my face then blend with the brush. Since the CC+ is a bit on the thicker side, I find that it is better to dot the product before using a small, fluffy brush like this one. Since this brush is so fluffy, you do need to buff for quite a while to get the product to sink in. I also think the brush is a bit too small for it’s purpose, but it does do the job. I can definitely see this brush being great for other makeup as well, like blush of bronzer.

Je Ne Sais Quoi hydrating lip treatment in Rose! I love the Je Ne Sais Quoi in Your Perfect Pink, I use it every day. So I was so excited to see a new shade! I tried it out as soon as I was finished taking pictures lol. I love the logo imprint on the top! The bullet itself is magnetic, just like the other one, which is fantastic… you can just through it in your purse and you don’t need to worry about it opening and getting ruined. As for the shade, you definitely get a hint of a rosey tint. It’s very natural, but I can see a slight difference from my normal lip color. It’s one of those your-lips-but-better products.

All in all, another great QVC TSV from IT Cosmetics. A really nice intro to their products if you haven’t tried them before, or if you just need a refill on some favorite products!

NOTD: Springtime Silver!

Two NOTDs in the same week?! What is happening?!

springtimesilver | by themani-ac

My base is one coat of Zoya Purity, then I sponged on more Purity, Zoya Megan and China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. The sponging created a soft, almost gradient effect for my background. After that was set, I topped it with Seche Vite and let it dry. Once dry, I applied thin coats of Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat to random parts of my nail (one nail at a time) and then added the silver leaf. I just used my finger to apply it and rub it in to create that distressed-ish effect.

I was very in the mood for it to be spring already, and this was very fitting for that. I love the color combo of that minty blue/green and metallic silver. What do you think?

NOTD: Blue and Gold!

Another NOTD?! What is happening?! Getting back in the groove…

blueandgold | by themani-ac

My base is two coats of Zoya Mallory, it’s a creamy royal blue. I hadn’t used this polish yet, but it caught my eye when I was looking through my stash for some inspiration. I was debating about what to do, then I decided to keep it simple and to add some some gold striping tape. I love doing combinations of single and double lines, it reminds me of the midi rings that I love so much! I topped it off with Seche Vite.

I really like this royal blue and gold combo, simple but interesting enough so I don’t want to redo my nails the next day lol what do you think?

NOTD: Rose Gold Half Moons!

Ah yissss, love me some rose gold!

My base is two coats of Zoya Purity, and then I freehanded some half moons with ILNP Juliette. Topped everything off with Essie Good To Go. Juliette is such a gorgeous holo rose gold glitter, I try to use it every change I get.

Very simple, but I love it! What do you think?

Function of Beauty Update!

So, I’ve been using my custom Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner for a while now, so I thought I’d give you an update!

functionofbeauty2

I’ve been using it for about a month, 2-3 times a week, and what you see above is how much of the product I’ve used so far. I’m going through conditioner a bit faster than the shampoo, which is normal for me. I have changed up the way I use the product, for my first shampoo, I lather it up in my hands, but for the second shampoo, I apply to directly to my scalp and lather. I usually end up with 5-6 pumps for shampoo and the same for conditioner.

Pros:

  • I have noticed that the middle section of my hair is very soft and stays soft for days after washing.
  • My hair is noticeable shinier, I definitely see a difference with that, and it stays shiny for days after the wash.

Cons:

  • Even though my formulation is basically just hydration, for some reason, I’ve noticed my scalp is drier than normal.
  • Right after hair washing, my hair feels nice and soft but a day or two later the ends dry up again. If I do any kind of heat styling or even no-heat overnight curls, my ends get very dry, even if it’s right after washing. I don’t use it every day, as suggested, so that might be the problem, but it is worth noting.
  • I haven’t seen any overall improvement on my dry ends. The longer you use it, the more you’ll see the effects, but so far… I haven’t seen any improvement in end hydration, they still get very dry and brittle.

I’ve avoided using any other hair products while testing this one, I just started using argan oil again after my last few washes because I couldn’t take my dry, frizzy ends anymore. My ends are a bit color damaged, so I don’t expect anything to heal them, that’s what haircuts are for lol. However, I am a bit disappointed with the dry scalp, I was not expecting that at all. I actually just decided to switch up my routine, my last wash I used totally different products (one to review!). I’ll probably go back to Function of Beauty after my scalp is back to normal and see how things go from there. I’ll most likely be back with another update!

Zim’s Max Crack Creme Creamy Daytime Formula Review!

Press Sample

In my last post I reviewed Zim’s Crack Creme Original Liquid Formula... today I have the Creamy Daytime Formula!

zimscrackcremedaytime

From the website:

“Zim’s CRACK Creme Creamy Daytime Formula is an herbal formula that softens and moisturizes dry, cracked skin. Developed by a pharmacist. Recommended for daytime use, complimenting nighttime use of the Original Liquid Formula . Use on Hands, Feet, Elbows, Cuticles & More.”

Starting with scent again… it is similar to the original formula but it’s not as strong. It also has aloe in it, so you get a bit of that in the scent.

The formula itself is a thicker lotion, which I like. It’s similar to Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. I’ve been mostly using it on my hands, especially after I shower or wash my hands, as we have pretty hard water. The water mixed with the weather means I need extra moisture.

It absorbs super quickly, and instantly makes your hands (or whatever else) feel super duper soft. This is probably the softest my hands have been from using any kind of lotion. It does leave my finger tips a bit greasy, but it’s slight and with how soft my hands are… I can totally deal with it.

Overall, a great moisturizer. I would definitely recommend it! You can find it online at a variety of stores, or on Zim’s website

zimscrackcreme

From the website:

“Zim’s Max CRACK Creme Original Liquid Formula 2 oz is an All-Natural multi-use liquid herbal formula that softens and moisturizes dry, cracked skin. Recommended for nighttime use but can be used throughout the day as well. Use on Hands, Feet, Elbows, Cuticles & More. It was developed by a pharmacist over 60 years ago when cement workers came to him complaining of dry, cracked skin on their hands and feet. This oil formula features Arnica Flower Extract and Myrcia Oil.”

So, the scent is… strong. It’s very herbal/medicinal and super strong. At first, I wasn’t a fan, but I’ve gotten used to it. It’s not my favorite scent, but it doesn’t bother me.

The formula is a liquid, so you just squeeze a bit out and you’re good to go. A little does go a long way, you don’t have to go crazy with it. I did find that it does have a bit of a residue after you rub it in, almost waxy. It gets absorbed into the skin quickly, but you are left with a bit of a waxy feel.. I have to wipe my finger tips after using this.

I’ve mainly been using this product for my cuticles. The winter is tough on them and they need extra moisture. It definitely does help, but it’s like any other cuticle cream, I need to apply it often to keep them moisturized.

I’ve also used it on extra dry areas, I have this spot on my pointer finger that is just always dry, and this actually really helped. I’ve tried other moisturizers, but nothing has worked as well as Zim’s. The dry spot is actually gone!

I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who has chronic dry patches, like elbows or knuckles. I wouldn’t use this on very large parts of the body because of the scent and residue, but it does work really well on smaller spots for me.

You can find Zim’s online at a variety of stores, or on their website.

NOTD: Watercolor!

I thoroughly enjoyed my last marble, so I decided to do another, more colorful version!

I’m also tired of snow and ready for spring and summer.

Anyhow, my base for all nails is two coats of Zoya Purity topped with Essie Good to Go. On my thumb, pointer and pinky I created this watercolor effect with Paula Dorf Perfectly Purple, China Glaze Too Yacht Too Handle and Zoya Talia. What I did was thin out each color with some acetone, then apply it to the nail in patches. Then I took more acetone and blobbed it on to thin out the color and create the effect.

I thought it would be too much to do on all the nails so I left my middle and ring fingers white and added the triangle studs. Then topped everything with another coat of Good to Go.

I looooove how the watercolor effect comes out, and it’s super quick and easy! What do you think?
