So, my birthday kind of extended into a birthweek… that obviously required a nail change!
I finally feel like I’m getting my groove back!
Alright! The base on my middle and ring fingers is two coats Zoya Willa, I topped it off with Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat. When that was dry, I thinned out some Zoya Willa with acetone to create the grey texture in the background, then used a thin striping brush and Willa to create those veins/cracks, and finally added a little bit of gold leaf. Of course, topped it off with more Big Shiny Top Coat.
For the other nails I used two coats of Zoya Sloane, and when that was dry I added some gold striping tape, and topped everything off with Big Shiny Top Coat.
I love this so much, I think this is one of the best marbles that I’ve done! What do you think?
In the summer I want mermaid nails all the time. I try not to, because that would be super boring, but I couldn’t help myself. Here are some mermaid-esque nails.
My base is two coats of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, then I added Zoya Gilty, applied it like a gradient and added extra gold leaf to a few places too fill in any empty spots. Then I went ahead and added a seashell to my middle finger and thumb, for that mermaid touch. I topped everything off with Sally hansen Big Shiny Top Coat, which I don’t normally use, but I really should. It’s amazing! Dries quickly and adds a nice glossy finish.
So, I’m super loving these at the moment. I’ve been wanting to do a purple mermaid mani, so that might be next. What do you think?
I’m in Florida! For the occasion, I decided on a sunset gradient.
I couldn’t leave it at that though, had to add gold leaf!
The polishes I used are China Glaze I Sea the Point, Color Club Disco Dress, Essie Snap Happy , China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and Sally Hansen Lightening.
I did the gradient over a base of Zoya Purity. Then I just used a makeup sponge for the gradient.
When everything was set, I added a coat of clear polish, then the gold leaf and topped it off with Essie Good to Go.

I’ve been stuck in a major rut again, but I finally got some inspiration from browsing Instagram the other day.
My base is Orly Pure Porcelain. I love Pure Porcelain so much, I’m going to bee another bottle soon. I decided on a negative space half moons, just for fun. To my pointer, pinky and thumb I added some gold leaf right down the middle, kind of mosaic-like. For my middle and ring I did some dry brushing with Essie Leggy Legend and Chanel Taboo. I thought the dry brushed nails needed something extra, so I added the round studs. After all that, I topped everything off with Essie Good to Go.
I like how this came out, especially the gold leaf. What do you think?
I was in another rut, which is so sad because I have beautiful new polishes I was to play with! After two failed manis, this one came to me.
My base is two coats of Zoya Willa, when that was dry I applied a coat of clear polish and added the pieces of gold and silver leaf. Once that was set, I patted it down lightly to make sure everything was laying flat and then and applied Essie Good to Go on top.
I like how it looks like the leaf is floating! And after a rut and two fails, I’m really happy with this. What do you think?
I’m not sure what inspired this one, I think it just came to me after watching various gel nail videos on Youtube lol.
My base on all nails is two coats of Zoya Willa with Essie Good to Go as top coat. Then I added the gold leaf, either scattered or on my tips. I apply it by applying clear polish, then laying the gold leaf over it. Then I pat it down, so nothing sticks up, let it set and seal with Essie Good to Go. If the leaf still felt bumpy, I just added another coat of Good to Go.
I love how this came out! What do you think?
Now that school has started and I know that fall is on the way, I’m ready for all the fall nail polishes! I wasn’t totally ready to jump into jewel tones so I decided on something more subtle for this transition-y time.
I think it’s a perfect transition from summer into fall and love that the nude goes matte but the gold stays shiny! What do you guys think?
I haven’t done a leopard mani in a while, so I thought it was time.
I had a vision in my head, and I’m super happy that this met my expectations! I love how this came out! What do you guys think?
Happy first day of May! Cannot believe how slow then fast April went by. Anyway…I got these little shell studs from Amazon a while ago and I’ve been dying to use them! I was trying to wait until summer because… sea shells, but now that the weather is warming up I couldn’t help myself!
Gah! So my pointer and pinky have two coats of Zoya Remy. On my pointer I added Sinful Colors Nail Junkie to the top half of the nail and Essie As Gold As It Gets to the bottom half (like a gradient). On my pinky, I added Nail Junkie all over the nail.
My middle and ring fingers have two coats of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. On my middle finger I added As Gold As It gets to the top half of the nail, kind of like a gradient, then I added the shell, gold leaf that I got from Amazon and the rhinestones to both nails.
I topped everything off with Essie Good to Go.
I love this! I dyed the ends of my hair purple, so I’ve been feeling mermaid-y and these nails are like icing on the cake. I’m going to be sad when it’s time to remove them.
What do you guys think?
