New IT Cosmetics Your Je Ne Sais Quoi Complexion Perfection Palette Swatches and Review!

Press Sample

This is another new product for the holiday season! This is the Your Je Ne Sais Quoi Complexion Perfection Palette.

The back of the box, it has instructions and swatches and the names of all the products.

The actual palette. It’s a metallic light pink, so  pretty!

The products! You get the Bye Bye Pores Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi, the Bye Bye Pores Pressed Power in Translucent, Sunshine in a Compact in Warm and the Perfect Lighting Luminizer in Je Ne Sais Quoi. Love the imprint on the Luminizer!

Swatches! From left to right:

  • Perfect Lighting Luminizer in Je Ne Sais Quoi– This is so beautiful! It’s a gold toned highlighter. The second I swatched it, I fell in love with it. It will give you a really nice sun kissed glow. So pretty.
  • Sunshine in a Compact in Warm– This is a warm, matte bronzer. I use this every day to warm up my face, and I love it! I’m super pale, and I use a fluffy brush and it looks very natural. The color is very buildable though.
  • Bye Bye Pores Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi– This is a matte, medium pink blush. I use this with a fluffier blush brush. It isn’t too bright when it’s blended it out, but it is buildable.
  • Bye Bye Pores Pressed Power in Translucent– The classic pressed powder. This is one of my favorites. I use it as a setting powder for my under eyes, and I love it. It really does minimize your pores.

Since I already have the blush, pressed powder and bronzer, I knew those were going to be winners… but my favorite thing in this palette is the luminizer. I seriously want it in a giant compact. It’s so beautiful.

Overall, this is a perfect every day palette. You can use it for work, for going out, to create more natural looks, or go bolder. It’s super versatile and is full of A+ products. I love it!

This retails for $42, and you can already find it on Ulta’s website!

IT Cosmetics Brush Sets for Holiday 2016!

Press Sample

It’s that time! The holiday sets are making their appearances!

The two sets for this holiday season are the City Chic 5 piece set and the All That Glitters 5 piece set.

All That Glitters comes in a silver glitter envelope carrying case. It’s not loose glitter so it won’t be getting everywhere! The City Chic is a bronzy and silver clutch, with zipper and tassle.

The City Chic brush set. The handles of the brushes are a really cool bronzy/rose gold to clear gradient. They’re really nice quality, super soft and lovely. The brushes in the set include (from right to left): chic powder brush, chic blush brush, chic foundation brush, chic eyeshadow brush and chic crease brush.

The All That Glitters brushes do just that… the handles are silver glitter, just like the outside of the case. Again, it’s not loose glitter so it won’t get all over you when you apply makeup, the handles are actually smooth. They are great quality, super soft, like all IT Cosmetics brushes. In this set you get (from right to left): brilliant powder brush, radiant foundation brush, stunning eyeshadow brush, luminous concealer brush and dazzling liner/brow brush.

I love these sets! I think they are great options if you have makeup/brush lovers to get gifts for. They are super pretty and festive, and the cases are great. You could even use the City Chic case as a clutch!

All That Glitters retails for $58, City Chic for $68. I haven’t seen them online set, so I’m not sure when they’ll be out, but keep an eye out for them!

NOTD: Merry Christmas Skittles!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

christmasskittlesWoo, Christmas! I decided to do some plaid, and glitter and holly! All the things! My base coats are (left to right): two coats of OPI German-icure by OPI, three coats and some dabbing of Deborah Lippmann 99 Luftballons, two coats of Zoya Purity, and two coats of China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald.

I used a striping brush and freehanded the plaid. For the red plaid, my pointer, I used OPI Amazon…Amazoff, Zoya Raven and Zoya Ziv. For the green plaid, my pinky, I used Zoya Sooki, Zoya Raven and Ziv.

For the holly I used dotting tools with Sooki and Amazon…Amazoff.

Topped everything off with Essie Good to Go.

I’m really digging this! Especially the plaid. What do you guys think?

NOTD: Matte Hanukkah Dots!

Better kinda late than never!

hanukkah dots

My base is two coats of Zoya Neve…. actually all of this is Zoya! My dots are Zoya Purity, Trixie and Ziv. I used a dotting tool to do this. I basically wanted to alternate the silver and white dots, and throw in some gold dots to kind of represent the flames of the candles that we light for Hanukkah!

Then I felt like making it matte, so I topped it off with NYC Matte Me Crazy.

What do you guys think?

IT Cosmetics The IT Girl Set Swatches and Initial Review!

Disclaimer: This was sent to me for review

It’s time for Holiday sets! And today I have one from IT Cosmetics!

This is a trio of limited edition CC+ Lip Serum shades. The shades you get are Joy to the World, Snow Bunny and Under the Mistletoe. The box also states that these are hydrating, anti-aging, color-correcting creme glosses.

This is the applicator, it’s the same for all the glosses so I figured I could get away with only showing one. It’s the same as other IT Cosmetics glosses, it has that ballerina slipper shape.

itgirlset4These are the shades, I decided to go lightest to darkest here. As you can see, Snow Bunny is a very very pale pink, on the lips it was more nude than pink. Joy to the World is a midtoned berry pink, on the lips it was very similar to my natural lip color. Under the Mistletoe is a berry-red shade, I think it’s a little darker in real life than in the picture. On the lips its a very pretty berry-red.

The formula is very nice, they seem like they’d be sheer, but you can get full opacity in two coats. They also aren’t sticky at all and feel very comfortable on the lips. And they smell like vanilla, which is always a plus in my book.

Overall, a really great set. I like that you get a range of colors, and I love the formula of these glosses. I’m definitely going to be adding Under the Mistletoe to my holiday look lineup, and I cannot wait!

You can check out more about this set on Ulta’s website.

Deborah Lippmann Fantastical 2014 Holiday Collection Preview!

GUYS! I think this is the first holiday collection that I’ve gotten wind of and it is beautiful!

UGHHH I’M FREAKING OUT! How beautiful are these colors?! Left to right: Marrakesh Express, Dream Weaver, Magic Carpet Ride, Dear Mr. Fantasy, Weird Science and Xanadu.

Doesn’t look like a typical holiday collection and I love that! Especially loving Magic Carpet Ride (let’s face it.. no one does glitters like Deborah) and Dream Weaver. The thing I love most is the nail look the model is wearing. I want that shape and that nail art right now.

What do you guys think?
