If you follow nail art on Instagram, you’ve probably seen holo flakies everywhere. I’ve been obsessed with them since I first saw them, and I finally got my hands on a jar!
Ah yissss, love me some rose gold!
My base is two coats of Zoya Purity, and then I freehanded some half moons with ILNP Juliette. Topped everything off with Essie Good To Go. Juliette is such a gorgeous holo rose gold glitter, I try to use it every change I get.
Very simple, but I love it! What do you think?
I was going for something a little Halloween related, not sure if I actually got there lol
The white base is two coats of Zoya Purity and the black is two coats of Zoya Willa. On the white nails, I sponged on some Willa and Purity to get the grey in the background then dry brushed some Willa over it. On my middle fingers, I mixed LA Girl Uninhibited with some holo glitter from Wet n’ Wild Fantasy Makers. Then I thought it was too glittery and added two more coats of Uninhibited over it. I topped everything off with Essie Good To Go.
So, I wish this was a little more Halloween-ish lol. I’ll have to try again.
I saw Star Wars during Christmas weekend and I needed a very special mani. So I went with a galaxy mani, but not just any galaxy… a flakie galaxy!
My base is two coats of ILNP Sweater Weather, which is a holographic teal/blue polish. Then I sponged on the flakies: ILNP Supernova, Luna and Glory. Then I sponged on Sally Hansen Disco Ball for some extra sparkle and finally, added the white dots with Zoya Purity. Topped it off with Essie Good to Go.
I think this came out pretty cool. I love how Glory added a pop of orange and went so beautifully with Luna.
What do you think?
Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s 2016, honestly I didn’t even realize it until I typed it haha. Anyway! On to my new year’s eve mani!
My base is two coats of Zoya Chantal. My glitter is Sephora Formula X Hubba Hubble. For the gradient, I used the brush from Hubba Hubble just to disperse glitter, then I used a sponge to pack it on the tips. Then I topped it with two coats of Essie Good To Go.
I was going to add gold, but once I did the gradient I didn’t think I needed it. I love how this came out! What do you think?
Also, I want to wish everyone an awesome 2016!
If you follow me on Facebook, you might have seen that I was planning to buy 6 ILNP polishes, but I got lucky and got them as a gift!
From left to right:
- Ferris Wheel
- Mountain View
- Sweater Weather
- Time in a Bottle
So beautiful! I just like looking at new polishes for a while before I use them lol.
These 6 come from 3 of the latest collections: the fall, winter and holiday collections. I got 2 from each. There are two Ultra Chrome flakies, two Hologhraphics and two Ultra Metallics.
I will be posting swatches or manis with these guys, I did use some of them for a mani already, but that’s for another post lol.
Did you get anything snazzy for Christmas?
When I saw the new A England Collection I fell in love! I bought two of the polishes right away, one of which was Proserpine!
So what I have here is two coats of Proserpine. I used regular tape to tape off where I didn’t want polish. When that was set, I added some silver striping tape and some stones on my ring fingers. Topped everything off with Essie Good To Go.
In terms of Proserpine, it’s a blue with a hint of teal holo. It’s more blue than Saint George. The formula is fantastic, so buttery and smooth. It’s opaque in one coat, but I like to have two for good measure. It dries really fast but I find that it dries a little dull and needs that top coat.
How beautiful is that in the sun?! I love this polish, it reminds me slightly of Zoya Remy but a holo version. So pretty! If you love blues and/or holos I suggest you grab this one!
