Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Tilt!

If you read my Summer Wish List post, you’ll know that I’m super excited for the new Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks to come out! But one thing I forgot to mention is that all Revolution lipsticks are now 50% off everywhere! So, I obviously had to go and look.

Tilt is one of the Vice lipsticks that I was itching to buy, so I was super excited to see that the Revolution version wasn’t sold out because I grabbed it for $11!

Tilt is a corally color, matte finish. It’s very comfortable on the lips, I don’t find it too drying and it lasts very well.

I highly suggest going to your Ultas and Sephoras and anywhere else that sells Urban Decay, check out what’s left and grab what you can at the discount. I’m still really excited about the Vice launch and I’ll probably be picking up at least two lol

Oh and happy June!

More spring makeup from IT Cosmetics! If this doesn’t get you in the mood for spring, I don’t know what will.

The box.

The packaging. It’s so cute! I love the blush color and the rose gold lettering. The cover is also pillowy, and it’s small enough to be perfect for travel.

The inside is also that rose gold, and the shade names are underneath in black. They are a little hard to see because of the reflective packaging, so here they are:

Top row:

  • Imagine
  • Wonder
  • Dream

Bottom row:

  • Passion
  • Intrigue
  • Allure

And the highlighter is called Transforming Hello Light.

Left to right:

  • Imagine- matte light cream
  • Wonder- matte cream
  • Dream- matte light nude blush

Left to right:

  • Passion- matte light brown
  • Intrigue- matte medium brown
  • Allure- matte blue-black
  • Transforming Hello Light- shimmery pearl

I apologize if the colors are hard to see, I’m pretty pale and most of the shades are light, so they tend to blend into my skin.

My shade descriptions are different than the ones on the IT Cosmetics website, because I call them how I see them.

These shadows are super soft, easy to apply and blend. They’re light but nicely pigmented. For a neutral palette, I think the colors are actually pretty interesting, especially Dream and Allure. This palette is perfect for everyday and the shades can easily go from day to night. The highlighter is beautiful! It’s not sparkly, but has the perfect amount of shimmer.

I’ve been using this palette every day since I got it, I think it’s great for work. I’ve been using either Wonder or Dream on the lid with a combo of Passion and Intrigue in the crease. I’ve used both Imagine and Transforming Hello light as an eyebrow highlight.

Overall, I’m really enjoying this palette! I was ready for something new for spring, so this was exactly what I needed. If you’re in the market for a new matte/neutral palette, definitely check this one out. It’s available on the IT Cosmetics website and retails for $28.

IT Cosmetics Sunshine In A Compact Swatches and Review!

As I am just starting to actually enjoy using bronzer, I was super excited to get this one!

Love the packaging! The font, the frosted matte cover.

Even the actual powder is cute, reminds me of the sun… which is probably the point lol

This is a matte bronzer, no sparkle at all. It’s a little on the orangey side when packed on (and I packed it on for this swatch). When you blend it out, you get a really nice, soft, warmed up look. I’m very pale so this perfectly warms up my face so I don’t look sickly after all my foundation and concealer is on lol. It has just enough color for the upcoming warmer weather. It blends easily, and you can build up the color if you like a stronger bronze. It’s perfect for adding color all over your face, it might be a little too orange for contour though.

I’m loving this bronzer, even though the weather took a very cold turn lately, it reminds me that summer is on the way. If you’re pale, I highly suggest checking this one out.

IT Cosmetics It’s Your Bye Bye Collection – 5 Piece Collection!– March QVC Today’s Special Value!

Disclaimer: This was sent to me for review. All opinions are my own

It’s that time again… IT Cosmetics on QVC! It’s the Today Special Value… today! Warning: picture heavy!

All the lovely products in their packing.

Out of the packaging! Notice that the brush has a flat bottom, so you can just stand it up on any flat surface.

A close up of the brush, this is the Heavenly Skin Bye Bye Pores Powder Brush. It’s domed, pretty dense and super soft.

The Bye Bye Makeup 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm. This basically combines your makeup removal and cleansing process into one step. It has a texture similar to coconut oil. It looks like a solid, but as your hands warm it up it melts. So all you do is apply it to dry skin, rinse with warm water or wipe off with a soft cloth.

I’ve been using it since I received it, and I really like it. It removes makeup really well and after I rinse it off my face feels clean and not at all dry, like it does with some other cleansers. I’m not sure if it’s safe to use on eyes, so I’ve been avoiding the eye area just in case.

Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder. This is a translucent powder, great for makeup setting. I’ve used it for setting concealer when I use powder foundation and for setting all my makeup with using liquid foundation. I absolutely love this. It does not cake and actually does help blur your pores.

The bottom compartment of the Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder, here you’ll find a white makeup sponge.

Bye Bye Pores Blush Airbrush Brightening Blush. This is a nice warm coral color, perfect if you don’t like super noticeable blushes. I’ve been applying just a little bit of it and I really like it. It adds just enough color.

Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Full Coverage Anti-Aging Concealer in Light. If you follow this blog, you might already know how much I love the regular Bye Bye Under Eye concealer, but this one just took the number one spot on my list for under eyes. It’s very brightening and in the swatch and comparisons below you’ll see the differences between the two.

Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination on the left and the Airbrush Brightening Blush on the right.

Here, you can see that Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination is much brighter than the original Bye Bye Under Eye. It has more of a radiance about it.

This collection comes in 4 colors: Light (the one I received), Medium, Tan and Deep.

Overall, I think this collection is fantastic. I love every single product in it and it’s definitely worth checking out!

IT Cosmetics New Year, Your Most Beautiful Skin- 6 Piece Collection!– January QVC Today’s Special Value!

Disclaimer: This was sent to me for review

It’s that time! Time for IT Cosmetics January QVC Today’s Special Value! This month, it’s all about your most beautiful skin for the New Year! Warning: picture heavy!

This is actually the inside of the cover of the box.

The whole set!

Everything out of the packaging!

This is the new supersize CC+ Veil Cushion Compact Foundation (also comes with a refill cartridge!). This is an SPF 50+, sheer to medium coverage foundation. It’s a foundation, anti-aging serum, moisturizer and primer all in one! This is in the shade light, but I have three shades to show you below!

You might notice that this looks like a sponge, and that’s because it is! It takes a bit of getting used to, if you don’t press your brush into it hard enough you won’t get that much product.

Angled Radiance Creme Brush for all your blush needs!

The Heavenly Luxe Dual-Ended Complexion Perfection Brush, great for foundation and concealer.

CC+ Creme Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi.

Blurred Lines Lipstick in new shade Je Ne Sais Quoi!

These are the foundation colors that I received. You can see a pretty significant difference between the light and fair. I was actually a bit surprised to see that light was close to medium. I’m definitely fair, but I can see using the other shades to slightly contour.

The formula is lightweight, doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. I dotted it all over my face with my finger first and then buffed it in with the Heavenly Luxe Dual-Ended Complexion Perfection Brush. It is pretty light coverage, but you can definitely build it up. I think I needed about two thin coats to get the coverage that I like. The finish is matte, it’s goes from liquid to powder as you buff it in. I think that would be great for oily skin!

This foundation didn’t cake up on me during application, even in my drier spots. After a few hours of wear, I did start to notice some dry patches, but I did not use any moisturizer or primer for initial testing purposes. But if you do have dry skin, I suggest moisturizing and priming before any foundation.

The CC+ Creme Blush and Blurred Lines Lipstick are both in the same color, Je Ne Sais Quoi, which IT says is the perfect pink for all skin tones and ages.

The blush is pretty sheer, which is good, because when you open it, it looks super bright! It adds just the perfect hint of color to your cheeks. If you like a stronger blush, you can build up the color as well.

The lipstick is also on the sheer side but definitely buildable. When first applied it gives you that your-lips-but-better color, then you can build it up to a very pretty pink (and I’m not even a fan of pinks!). What I enjoy most is the smell! It’s like a slight cocoa scent, very very nice. It’s also very moisturizing on the lips.

Overall, another great TSV from IT! I especially love that it comes with two brushes and refill for the foundation. I’m also really loving the lipstick and excited to start using the blush (I’m a blush nube lol).

This is the QVC Today’s Special Value today, January 16, 2016!

IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara Swatches and Review!

Disclaimer: This was sent to me for review

The box with all the claims

The tube is a skinny hourglass-ish shape, if there’s another name for this shape, let me know lol

The wand is pretty dense, not too big or too small. Definitely smaller than some of those massive wands on the market today.

The color I received is Super Black, and it lives up to it’s name.

Here’s what IT has to say about it:

“Our proprietary Elastic Stretch Technology wraps each individual lash in a volume-boosting, lengthening and ultra-conditioning black cape of power and color, for your strongest, longest, thickest and most defined lashes. The super buildable formula puts lash power at your fingertips; simply apply more coats to add volume and length to lashes.”

It’s infused with lash-lifting polymers, collagen, biotin, proteins and peptides.

So, I found that it gave my lashes crazy length! One coat and woah. I was not expecting that kind of length. It added some volume with one coat, but the more coats you apply, the more volume you’ll get. I did notice that it left little clumps on my lashes, then I’d add another coat to get rid of the clumps, which mostly worked. It doesn’t lump your lashes together though, which is a very good thing.

I found the color to be very black, and it lasts beautifully. No flaking off, and it was very easy to remove with a makeup wipe. I had it on for about 16 hours the first day I tried it, and not one flake!

Overall, if you’re looking for a lengthening mascara, this is for you! I was very impressed with all the length I got. I really like this mascara and will definitely continue to use it!

And luckily… this product launches today 1/8 on QVC during the 11pm Friday Night Beauty segment! It’s going to be available exclusively on QVC until February, and then it will be available at Ulta, Ulta.com and itcosmetics.com!

Rouge Louboutin Silky Satin Swatches and Review!

So, the boyfriend outdid himself for Christmas and got me the Louboutin lipstick!

louboutinrougesilkysatinlouboutinrougesilkysatin2The packaging! It’s amazing. I started unwrapping it, saw that red stripe and I was basically speechless lol. The lipstick itself looks like an ornament, it’s so beautiful.

So, the Louboutin lipsticks come in three formulas, this is the Silky Satin formula in the classic Rouge Louboutin color, the same color that goes on the soles of all his shoes. It’s a really nice true red, very flattering to every skin tone.

The Silky Satin formula is a full coverage, glossy formula. It glides on easily and is super smooth. I found that it felt very comfortable on the lips, not drying at all. The color is buildable so you can go more sheer with it, or go opaque. I found that it lasted well, I wore it for about 7 hours on Christmas day. I was eating and drinking, so it obviously faded. I think it started becoming noticeable around hour 5, and was mostly a stain by hour 7.

Overall, I really like the lipstick. I love the packaging, and the color and quality are great. Is this for everyone? With a $90 price tag, definitely not. But if you love lipsticks and want to splurge, this may be right up your alley.

Urban Decay 1993 Swatches and Review!

Guys… I bought 1993 last weekend and I’m obsessed! But let’s talk about that after the photos.

Alright! So this is 1993! It’s an Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick. The color is a medium brown, and of course, it’s matte.

I’m very pale, so I was worried about how dark it might look on me, but the second I put it on, I was in love!

The formula is great, super creamy, glides on and it’s very opaque. As for wear, I wore it for 5 and a half hours to a holiday party earlier in the week and it stayed on very well. I did notice a little bit of fading on the inside of my lips towards the end of the night, but nothing that noticeable. It also felt very comfortable for most of the night, it did get a little dry at the very end, but again, nothing too bad.

I love everything about this lipstick: the name, the color, the finish. It’s amazing. I highly suggest checking it out!

I got it at Sephora, it retails for $22.

Have you tried this lipstick? What are some of your favorite matte lipsticks?
