In this set we have 4 products and a brush:
– Confidence in an Eye Cream
This is a transforming moisturizing eye cream that can be your AM and PM go to, with its anti-aging technology.
I LOVE Confidence in an Eye Cream. I’ve been using it since I first tried it and it’s great. It has a slight tint to it to help with dark circles in additional to all that anti-aging good stuff.
– Confidence in a Cream
Again, this formula contains anti-aging properties and can be your AM and PM moisturizer.
This is one of my mom’s favorites, any time she’s close to running out she asks if I have any more.
Confidence in a Cleanser
This product cleanses and moisturizes with leaving skin feeling soft and refreshed. It’s a soap and sulfate free cleanser that contains ceramides, hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acid and colloidal oatmeal. Bonus: it removes makeup!
Again, another favorite of mine, I’ve been using it since I first tried it and always go back to it! It leaves skin feeling super clean, but not at all dried out.
– Heavenly Skin Skin-Smoothing Complexion Brush
This custon cut brush head hugs the natural contours of your features for effortless coverage.
As always, IT Cosmetics does not disappoint with brushes. I love every brush I try without fail, and this is no exception.
– Confidence in a Compact with SPF 50+
This is IT Cosmetics first ever anti-aging solid serum foundation. It is infused with pure color pigments and SPF 50+ broad-spectrum sun protection. The solid serum technology is combined with ceramides, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid and squalane to help give your skin a flawless look.
An another one. The last time I used this product, I used all of it…literally. That’s a big thing for me because I hardly ever finish foundations, but this one is a keeper.
And that’s that! If you’re looking for some new skin care this year, or if these are some of your favorites, it’s the time to grab them!
This set is available for presale today, Thursday, January 11th 2018, and is the official Today Special Value on QVC on Saturday, January 13th 2018 and is available for that day only! So get on it!

IT Cosmetics Miracle Water and Secret Sauce Review!

Press Sample

Always love new skincare from IT Cosmetics! And let me tell you… this is good stuff.

Itmiraclewaterandsecretsauce | by themani-ac

First up, we have the Miracle Water 3-in-1 Glow Tonic. From It Cosmetics:

“Developed with plastic surgeons, Miracle Water™ 3-in-1 Glow Tonic instantly transforms your skin and maximizes the benefits of your skincare routine! This lightweight no-rinse product combines your Skin-Brightening Radiance Booster to help purify, balance and brighten the look of your skin, your potent Anti-Aging Treatment Essence to diffuse the look of lines and wrinkles, and your Skin-Softening Micellar Cleanser to gently attract, trap and remove dirt, oil, impurities and makeup—all in one simple step.

Infused with Secret Sauce™ Fermented Complex, a clinically advanced combination of 7 penetration-enhancing fermented ingredients, Miracle Water™ helps to increase absorbency and improve the efficacy of your moisturizers and serums. With anti-aging peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, rose, aloe, rice, chamomile, green tea water, licorice root and vitamin C—plus illuminating Drops of Light Technology™ Concentrate and diamond powder—it also gives you a youthful, lit-from-within glow! Use it after cleansing or in place of your cleanser for powerful results immediately and over time.”

I’ve been using this every morning after washing my face. I’ve tried some other toners before, but haven’t liked any of them. I really like this one. You only need a small amount on a cotton round for your entire face, and it absorbs pretty quickly and it doesn’t leave any noticeable residue after application. Also, the scent is just a clean smell, nothing fruity or flowery.

Now, Secret Sauce. From It Cosmetics:

“Developed with plastic surgeons, Secret Sauce™ immediately hydrates and transforms your skin! The skin-loving, powerfully potent secret lies in the Secret Sauce™ Fermented Complex: 7 clinically advanced, penetration-enhancing fermented ingredients that help to increase absorbency and maximize the ultra-hydrating, anti-aging benefits of Secret Sauce™.

Also featuring anti-aging peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and licorice root, Secret Sauce™ is perfect for all skin types and reduces the look of discoloration, lines and wrinkles. Combined with proprietary Drops of Light Technology™ Concentrate and diamond powder, this luxurious innovation gives you a youthful, lit-from-within glow—and is your secret to beautiful skin! Instantly reveal younger-looking skin and experience more miraculous results over time”

I’ve been using these two products in tandem, so after Miracle Water, I apply Secret Sauce! It is white in color, but that disappears as you rub it into your skin. It absorbs pretty quickly as well, but it does leave your skin a little tacky. I think it actually helps with my makeup application, so I don’t mind it. The scent is again, a clean smell, almost similar to a very light soap scent.

On a side note, I’m in love with the holographic/opalescent packaging!

I love trying new skin care products, but I am always a little weary because my skin can be a bit picky. I’m happy to report that not only have I had no bad reactions, but I think using both these products has actually helped clear my skin! I had a few blemishes and breakouts when I started testing, which started to clear up within a couple of days of use.

Overall, so happy with these two new products! They’ve become my morning go-to skin care routine. Both of these are available on the It Cosmetics website, so check them out!

Zim’s Max Crack Creme Creamy Daytime Formula Review!

Press Sample

In my last post I reviewed Zim’s Crack Creme Original Liquid Formula... today I have the Creamy Daytime Formula!

zimscrackcremedaytime

From the website:

“Zim’s CRACK Creme Creamy Daytime Formula is an herbal formula that softens and moisturizes dry, cracked skin. Developed by a pharmacist. Recommended for daytime use, complimenting nighttime use of the Original Liquid Formula . Use on Hands, Feet, Elbows, Cuticles & More.”

Starting with scent again… it is similar to the original formula but it’s not as strong. It also has aloe in it, so you get a bit of that in the scent.

The formula itself is a thicker lotion, which I like. It’s similar to Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. I’ve been mostly using it on my hands, especially after I shower or wash my hands, as we have pretty hard water. The water mixed with the weather means I need extra moisture.

It absorbs super quickly, and instantly makes your hands (or whatever else) feel super duper soft. This is probably the softest my hands have been from using any kind of lotion. It does leave my finger tips a bit greasy, but it’s slight and with how soft my hands are… I can totally deal with it.

Overall, a great moisturizer. I would definitely recommend it! You can find it online at a variety of stores, or on Zim’s website

zimscrackcreme

From the website:

“Zim’s Max CRACK Creme Original Liquid Formula 2 oz is an All-Natural multi-use liquid herbal formula that softens and moisturizes dry, cracked skin. Recommended for nighttime use but can be used throughout the day as well. Use on Hands, Feet, Elbows, Cuticles & More. It was developed by a pharmacist over 60 years ago when cement workers came to him complaining of dry, cracked skin on their hands and feet. This oil formula features Arnica Flower Extract and Myrcia Oil.”

So, the scent is… strong. It’s very herbal/medicinal and super strong. At first, I wasn’t a fan, but I’ve gotten used to it. It’s not my favorite scent, but it doesn’t bother me.

The formula is a liquid, so you just squeeze a bit out and you’re good to go. A little does go a long way, you don’t have to go crazy with it. I did find that it does have a bit of a residue after you rub it in, almost waxy. It gets absorbed into the skin quickly, but you are left with a bit of a waxy feel.. I have to wipe my finger tips after using this.

I’ve mainly been using this product for my cuticles. The winter is tough on them and they need extra moisture. It definitely does help, but it’s like any other cuticle cream, I need to apply it often to keep them moisturized.

I’ve also used it on extra dry areas, I have this spot on my pointer finger that is just always dry, and this actually really helped. I’ve tried other moisturizers, but nothing has worked as well as Zim’s. The dry spot is actually gone!

I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who has chronic dry patches, like elbows or knuckles. I wouldn’t use this on very large parts of the body because of the scent and residue, but it does work really well on smaller spots for me.

You can find Zim’s online at a variety of stores, or on their website.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Review!

I don’t even want to tell you guys how obnoxiously dry my skin was at the start of winter, I decided it was definitely time for a skin care upgrade.

Image result for first aid beauty ultra repair cream

I asked a blogger group that I’m part of for suggestions, and a bunch of people said to try out First Aid Beauty.

I went to Sephora that weekend, tested a bunch of stuff and ultimately decided on the Ultra Repair Cream.

I’ve been using it every day since I bought it, and I have to say that it actually made a huge difference right away. My skin is noticeably more moisturized, not one patch of dryness. My makeup is looking so much better after I use this in the morning. It’s so good that I use it in the morning under my makeup and at night before I go to bed. The texture of it is a bit different, it feels almost whipped. It’s super soft, non-greasy and absorbs super quickly. The only thing that’s lacking for me is the scent, it’s just very lotion-y, and it look me a little while to get used to it. It’s not unpleasant, just kind of meh. I can definitely overlook the scent with these results, though.

Overall, amazing. I’m kind of obsessed with this cream, it is awesome. I actually want to go back and get the serum as well. First Aid Beauty will definitely be one of my skin care go-tos from now on.

All the pretties!

Confidence in a Cream™ is a moisturizer that I have reviewed before. It can be used as your a.m. and p.m. moisturizer and utilizes cutting-edge, anti-aging technology to deeply hydrate while reducing the look of lines, wrinkles and pores.

Unfortunately, some ingredient in there does not settle well with my skin and I always have a reaction to it. On the other hand, my mother loves it! She uses it at least once a day, and it has become her favorite travel moisturizer. Even though I can’t use it, I still have to say that I love the packaging. It looks and feels like very high end skin care.

itnewyearnewoconfidence8

itnewyearnewoconfidence5

This is the new Confidence in a Compact™ with SPF 50+, which is a foundation. I’m thoroughly obsessed with the packaging! I love the compact. As for the product itself, it’s very interesting. It’s a solid serum foundation, and softens as your swirl your brush in it. You do need to put a bit of pressure on the brush as you swirl to make sure that the foundation softens enough for you to pick up product.

I found this to be a bit cakey for me, it kind of sat on top or my skin, so I actually tried this with a few different IT Heavenly Skin brushes. The first brush that I tried was the one that came in this set, it picked up the product nicely but wasn’t that great for buffing it in. I then switched to the Heavenly Skin CC+ brush, which worked a lot better as it is denser.

Overall, I’m on the fence about this. If you have oilier skin, I can see it working well for you. I have drier skin, especially in the winter, and buffing in this foundation is a bit of a chore for me.

itnewyearnewoconfidence4

This is the new Heavenly Skin™ Skin-Smoothing Complexion Brush. This is a smaller, angled brush. Just like all IT brushes it’s super soft and feels really nice on your face. However, this brush is not very dense. As I stated above, I tried it with the Confidence in a Compact and didn’t like it very much. This brush picks up a good amount product, and I can spread it all over my face, but when it comes to buffing… it doesn’t do the job. I think that’s because it’s just not dense enough. A lot of  the product stills stays on the brush and all the while, sits on top of my skin instead of getting buffed into it, if it were more kabuki style, I think it would work better. As is, I’d say this brush would work better with a liquid foundation.

Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream is an anti-aging, moisturizing eye cream that helps brighten the look of dark circles and visibly smooth the appearance of dry lines. It is blue! I love that haha.

You know that I love Bye Bye Under Eye concealer, so I was excited about the eye cream as well. I have dark circles and I wake up with pretty puffy under eyes. I’ve been using this in the morning before I moisturize, and I have to say… I like it! It definitely helps decrease the puffiness and I’ve actually found myself using under eye concealer less and less. The one thing that would make it even better, would be if it had a cooling effect when you applied it.

Overall, this is a good skincare kit, especially as an intro to IT Cosmetics if you’ve never tried them out. I’m a big fan of IT skin care, makeup and brushes, I use their products and brushes every single day (their brushes are the bomb-dot-com). Although some didn’t work so well me, doesn’t mean they won’t work for you! You’ll never know until you try! So, make sure to check out this kit and other IT Cosmetics products on QVC today!

Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream Review!

Happy December, everyone! I can’t believe it’s already December, winter is upon us and that meas it’s time for new skin care! I’ve been debating about getting a night cream, because my skin gets pretty dry after I wash it at night, and I figure that moisturizing at night and in the morning will help my skin from drying out during the day. Who know? But I’m hoping it helps.

Neutrogena® Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream

The night cream I decided to get was actually a total impulse buy. I was looking at a different one from Ulta, but was too lazy to go there lol so, when I found myself in Walmart, I saw this one and grabbed it.

It’s the Neutrogena Naturals. I’ve never seen this line before so I was pretty excited! My skin is super picky about lotions and creams, and the only one I can really use is Neutrogena.

Firstly, I’d like to mention that it is in a glass jar! I’m a sucker for packaging and the glass jar just make sit feel much more high end. It does have a scent, it’s a bit tropical, not too floral or citrusy. It’s not very strong, I’m usually not all about face products with scent, but this one is very nice and doesn’t bother my skin at all. It’s a nice thick texture and abords quickly, leaving skin feeling nice and hydrated.

I’ve been using this every night that I wash my face, which is most nights, sometimes I cheat with a makeup wipe if I’m lazy. The next morning I will wash my face again and moisturize with Neutrogena Hydro Boost. I have found that, so far, my skin has been less dry throughout the day, and I’m thinking it’s because I’ve added this extra layer of moisturizing to my routine. I’m also very happy to say that I have had no skin reactions to this product! No breakouts or irritation.

Overall, I’m super happy with it, and actually look forward to applying it every night. If you’re looking for a night moisturizer, definitely check this one out. For the price point, you cannot beat it.

Lip Care 101!

Sponsored

Sometimes lip care doesn’t even get on the beauty routine, so here are my lip care basics:

Exfoliate:

Exfoliating helps get rid of dry/ dead skin, which is always a good idea especially if you’re a fan of matte lipsticks. Matte lipsticks can often accentuate any dryness on the lips, so I always make sure to use a lip scrub before I wear anything matte. You can find lip scrubs everywhere these days, Lush has some great ones and I love the one from GlamGlow. You can even DIY your own.

Moisturize:

Lips, just like all other skin, need moisture. It’s really important to moisturize your lips after you exfoliate or just any time that they are dry, and especially in drier seasons, like winter, where the dry air and cold can wreak havoc on lips. I keep lip balm with me at all times. I have multiple in my purse, room, bathroom and even office at work. There are tons of choices for lip balm, from the classic Chapstick to the super popular (and cute!) EOS lip balm spheres.

The ways to maintain healthy, beautiful lips are among the most important beauty tips of all! Don’t ignore your lips, give them the love they deserve!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Review!

I’ve wanted to try this forever! Especially since the spokesperson is Kristen Bell. I’m not one for spokespeople, but… I love Kristen Bell. And I love a good moisturizer, so I basically needed this.

neutrogenahydroboost

So, water gel. That’s actually the best way I can see to describe it. It’s cool to the touch and feels cool on your face. It’s pretty refreshing. It absorbs quickly and you only need a little bit for your entire face.

I use this as my moisturizer, after j wash my face and before I prime. I find it very moisturizing and lightweight. I like it better than the Neutrogena day cream that I was using before, as sometimes creamy lotions can feel heavy.

Its especially good because it’s been a hot summer here, and I don’t like too much heaviness on my face.

In terms of moisturizing, I find it keeps my skin nicely moisturizer during the day and my makeup doesn’t cake up as much as it did before.

Overall, I’m all over this and I highly suggest trying it. If you want to try it, definitely shop around as I’ve seen $2 differences between different stores. I got mine at Wegmans for $17.99, and I’ve seen it at Ulta for $19.99.

It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Review!

Disclaimer: This item was sent to me for review. All opinions are my own.

A new moisturizing, anti-aging cream from It Cosmetics!

I love the packaging. It’s a glass jar, which I really like.

The lid, absolutely love the design.

Before I go into my review, here is some info from the website:

Great skin starts with confidence! Perfect for all skin types, even the most sensitive, Confidence in a Cream™ deeply hydrates, restores radiance and reduces the look of pores, uneven texture and discoloration. Proprietary Anti-Aging Armour Regenerative Concentrate™ is activated upon contact to immerse your skin in moisture for powerful results that you’ll see instantly, and more dramatic results over time.

Developed with plastic surgeons, the leading experts in skin rejuvenation, this revolutionary super cream is your quick-absorbing moisturizer that goes beyond hydration for results you can feel confident in. Paraben-free, hypoallergenic and non-irritating, Confidence in a Cream™ nourishes your skin with collagen, hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramides, antioxidants and colloidal oatmeal to help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving the texture of your skin and delivering the ideal amount of moisture.

Clinically shown results!

  • 100% said skin was soft, smooth & infused with moisture*
  • 97% said skin looked and felt rejuvenated*
  • 94% said skin felt younger and healthier*
  • 81% said pores appeared minimized, and fine lines & wrinkles appeared less noticeable*

*Results observed in a consumer panel survey.

So, I always like to start with packaging, which I already mentioned that I loved. Since is a glass jar it’s nice and heavy. The label looks very much like something you’d see from Strivectin. I also want to mention that the jar isn’t clear, it’s actually a light yellow-beige color.

When you open the jar, you’ll see the product, which is not like a traditional cream moisturizer. It’s more gel-like in texture. Now, I have to warn you… the scent. It’s very very strong, and it smells exactly like fresh ginger. If you don’t like ginger, don’t take big whiffs of it.

It applies nicely, you only need a small amount. It absorbs quickly, doesn’t feel greasy and leaves my skin pretty moisturized.

Unfortunately, this broke me out. I don’t know if it was an ingredient, something about the scent or just because my skin is really picky (which it is), but I tried this product on two separate occasions and it did break me out both times. I really wish it hadn’t because I really do like it!

I did like the product before I had a reaction to it. Don’t let that scare you, as I do have very sensitive skin.

You can find this on It’s website and Ulta’s website. It retails for $48 for 2 oz, you do get a lot of product for that price considering that you only need to use a tiny bit.
