IT Cosmetics launched in Sephora! In celebration, I have the new, Sephora-exclusive IT Your Bye Bye Collection set!
The box, it’s massive!
Inside, everything tucked into it’s place.
This is a whopping 11 piece collection! It’s filled with old favorites and some new products that will probably make it onto your favorites list as well.
Products that I already love:
- Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination: I use this every day for my under eye area and really anywhere else I need some extra coverage. I use light normally, and sometimes medium as a color corrector for dark circles. This set comes with all four shades: Light, Medium, Tan and Deep.
- Bye Bye Makeup: This is a makeup removing balm and it’s amazing! I love it. It removes makeup, cleanses and leaves your skin feeling clean and moisturized.
- Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment: This is like a lip balm, it’s super moisturizing. I’ve been reaching for it a lot lately.
- CC+ Skin Perfecting Brush: This is a fluffy brush, I find it really great to use with liquid foundations to buff and blend. You can also use it for powder foundation or setting powder.
Some new products in this set:
- Bye Bye Pores Primer: I’ve been using this since I got it and I love it! It really shrinks your pores and gives you a nice base to apply all your makeup. I could wear it on it’s own, honestly… it’s that good. It also smells just slightly coconut-y, which is nice.
- Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream: Also started using this when I got it. I use it in the morning to help de-puff, because I have a lot of puff in the morning. No drastic results yet, but I’m going to keep using it. Honorable mention: it’s blue!
- Bye Bye Lines Serum: I haven’t used this yet, but it’s an anti-aging concentrate that is supposed to deliver 10 power results in just 10 days- reduce the appearance of ine lines and wrinkles, improve the tone, texture, firmness, elasticity and suppleness, along with moisturizing and brightening skin.
- Anti-Aging Armour: I haven’t used this yet either, but it’s your key to complexion perfection and skin protection in one step. It has color correcting pigment and SPF 50+ to protect from UVA and UVB rays. It will even moisturize!
Phew! That’s a lot of products! If you’re in Sephora make sure to check out It Cosmetics and look for this set!
Well, I’m in Disney World! And I always need to have a mani for the occasion. This year, I went with a mermaid theme!
I like my Disney nail art to be more subtle, no Mickeys or polka dots for me.
My base is two coats of Zoya Lillian. Then I used scale stencils (I forgot where I got them from, but you can find them all over the internet) with ILNP Time In A Bottle, Sinful Colors Nail Junkie and Sephora Formula X Hubba Hubble. I used a sponge and sponged on the polishes over the stencil, carefully removed and moved on to the next nail. I actually used two stencils, one for each hand. I didn’t want to waste 10 of them, but they do start to lose stickiness, but if you work fast, two is just enough. When everything was stenciled, I added two coats of Essie Good To Go.
I love how this came out! What do you think?
Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s 2016, honestly I didn’t even realize it until I typed it haha. Anyway! On to my new year’s eve mani!
My base is two coats of Zoya Chantal. My glitter is Sephora Formula X Hubba Hubble. For the gradient, I used the brush from Hubba Hubble just to disperse glitter, then I used a sponge to pack it on the tips. Then I topped it with two coats of Essie Good To Go.
I was going to add gold, but once I did the gradient I didn’t think I needed it. I love how this came out! What do you think?
Also, I want to wish everyone an awesome 2016!
I needed something to get me to $50 for free shipping during the Sephora BI sale… and I stumbled upon this beauty!
This is three coats of Hubba Hubble, it’s a clear base with different sized hex, holographic silver glitter.
Application is good, you get a decent amount of glitter per swipe. You can probably get full opacity with two coats plus some dabbing. It’s very textured once it’s dry, so what I like to do before it’s totally dry is lightly pat down any glitter that might not be flat just to help prevent myself from picking. It also helps create a smoother surface for your top coat. I added one thicker coat of Essie Good To Go on top. After three coats and a top coat, it took about 20 minutes to fully dry. I sometimes like to pat it down again after the top coat is on and it’s still a little moldable.
Because there were so many coats and I guess I didn’t seal the edges very well with top coat, I did start to get some lifting after two days. So just be aware of that.
I haven’t been into super glitter nails recently, but this one is so beautiful! I couldn’t stop staring at my nails… it was slightly dangerous while I was driving lol
What do you guys think?
GUYS! I’ve been hearing so much on reddit about awesome sales at JCP Sephoras… so I had to check out my local one.
Left to right: Nails Inc Cavendish Place, Nails Inc Princes Garden, Formula X Bombshell, Formula X TNT, Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow
So guess how much I paid for these babies! The Nails Inc and Deborah Lippmann were $5.99! And the Formula X were $2.99! WHAT?! YES! There were a couple of creme Nails Inc shades as well, another creme Deborah Lippmann and a bunch of Formula X polishes.
I don’t think I’ll ever go to a regular Sephora again, the JCP ones have killer clearance. I also picked up the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette (The little one with the phone case) for $15! I really can’t even.
Totally go check out all the JCP Sephoras near you!
The other Nails Inc. Foil effect that I got from Sephora! I varied my application this time.
Chelsea Bridge Road, two coats. This is a very pale almost silvery gold. Not a true gold.
Instead of using the matte top coat as a base, I just put this polish right on my bare nails, and it actually worked much better. I had no bubbling at all. It does settle into your nails a little, so if you have ridges or any imperfections they will show through.
Again, formula was great, nice and smooth. Flowed on the nail nicely and then evened out any streaks. Also, it dried faster without any base underneath. I also waited about two minutes between coats to make sure I wouldn’t smudge any nails this time.
So, I’m loving this one too! If you’re in the market for a foil polish, I’d definitely recommend these.
So, I’ve been creeping on this polish for about a month now, ready to buy it online, but for some reason I never did. Something kept stopping me. Last week when I went to Sephora, I stumbled upon the sale shelf and what was on it? All the Nails Inc. Foil effect polishes! They only had South Kensington and Chelsea Bridge Road left so I grabbed them both!
This is two coats of South Kensington, as you can see it’s a silver with a foil type finish. It really does look like foil, and matched my macbook pretty well lol
In terms of application, I had read that this polish really accentuates any nail imperfections, so after some research I decided to apply it over a matte top coat. The matte top coat smooths out your nail, so it makes for a good base but you cal also apply it over a bare nail as suggested. I did have a few issues: this polish can pool a little bit, and you have to work pretty fast because it does set quickly (if you think it’s dry, you’re probably wrong. I smudged like 3 nails testing it out). Also I had a bunch of bubbling on some nails, which I had to do over. Not sure what caused the bubbling, but just keep an eye out for that. On a good note, this polish levels off a good amount of the streaks, so it didn’t end up looking streaky. Also, no top coat for this polish.
In terms of wear… this stuff is great. I’ve had it on for 5 days with only minimal tip wear. After about 4 days I did notice that it did start to look a little streakier than when first applied, but that’s probably the polish just wearing down.
I’m not sure how this compares to OPI Push and Shove. I think it’s less reflective, but I also think that the wear is way better. I was thinking about getting Push and Shove but after reading about the one day wear, I decided against it. I really love this polish and I’m super happy that I finally got it.
I got South Kensington at Sephora for a wopping…. $4.99! It’s $11 at Nordstrom, so definitely check your Sephora before buying it at full price.
On my most recent trip to the mall, I went to get some Sephora Formula X polishes and some Gwen Stefani polishes. Sadly, there were no Gwen Stefani polishes to be found, and some of the Formula Xs were out of stock… but I did manage to pick up two!
My base is one cat of Zoya Purity, then when that was dry I used tap to block off the triangles. First I used Turbulent and then Maniacal over it. You have to use the dabbing method when doing this, or you won’t get much of the bigger glitter pieces. It dries pretty bumpy, so you’ll need at least two coats of top coat to get it smooth, I only used one coat of Seche Vite.
So, Turbulent gives you a good amount of glitter per swipe, the large pieces can get stuck together but that’s normal. Maniacal was a little on the thinner side, so I got less glitter per swipe.. hence dabbing method. On the bright side, they dry pretty darn fast, even with dabbing, and even if you layered a lot on and it looks majorly bumpy it will settle a little bit and won’t make your nails look bulbous (I hate that).
I think it looks pretty cool, kind of like graffiti or maybe splatter. I like the combination of the two and I am seriously considering going back and buying more of them. They really are super cool.
What do you guys like from the Sephora Formula X line? Any suggestions?
Unil next time,
